From blank canvas to finished masterpiece - my progress in the art studio, this week.
Being in the studio really replenished my soul this week! I was feeling so tired and kinda overwhelmed with all the Christmas preparations, then I began to paint. And suddenly, the noise just faded out and I was feeling calm and grounded again. Pure bliss!
This helped a lot. I’m nearly done with Papa’s Girl! This week, I painted the background in blue cerulean, a tone of blue that I like a lot. There’s only the black trait left to do on this painting. Hopefully, I will have finished it, this week!
Then, I started drawing these two pieces. I think that drawing is my favourite part of the process. I just sit down in front of the white wood and just let the Flow flow. It’s always surprising and exhilarating to see what comes out!
And I’ve been doing that! Papier mache!! I’ve been flowing with lots of creative ideas these past weeks and papier mache was one of them. I wonder how this is going to turn out, but I’m enjoying the process so far. This is a small plastic bottle that I recovered with layers of newspaper. I’ll then put gesso on it before painting it. Maybe a vase? Stay tuned to see how all this turns out!
I also got a major breakthrough in ceramics class. I was so absorbed in it that I didn’t take any pictures. I’m looking forward to show you the end result. Truly spectacular!
That’s all folks! I hope you had an amazing week! Thank you so much for following along my journey. So grateful for you 🥰 See you next Sunday! Till then, have fun 🥳
Much Love 💕
