From blank canvas to finished masterpiece - my progress in the art studio, this week.
This week, I’ve been mainly preparing for Superfine Art fair. I will be exhibiting in New York at Iron 23, 29 W 23rd St. from the 14th to the 17th. It’s very exciting because it’s my first time ever in the United States!!! I will be in booth 43. Do come, visit me if you’re nearby. I’d love to meet you!!!
I had the opportunity to show a small painting, 12 x 12 in, 30 x 30 cms for a special part of the fair. So, I painted these two green pears on a yellow background. I loved playing with the light on this one. They look almost translucent! I entitled them, Mr and Mrs Pear!
I also finished my first portrait commission. I’m so glad how it turned out!! And most important of all, my clients looooove it. I’m so looking forward to making hundreds of them!! It’s so much fun to do and it makes such a beautiful gift. That’s one of the reasons, why I love my job so much.
This week, I’ve been mostly preparing for Superfine exhibition. Nonetheless, I take some time every morning to sketch. It helps to flex the creativity muscle, try new mediums and have fun. Here’s the last one, I did this week.
So, I will be in Manhattan, NY from the 14th to the 17th of September at Iron 23, booth 43. I’ve still got some free tickets, so if you want to see my new collection in person, reply to this email and I’ll send some your way!
Till next time, have fun!
Much Love 💕
