From blank canvas to finished masterpiece - how my next art series is coming to life.
This week, we welcomed a friend’s daughter at home. She’s coming for her studies and it’s her first time in France. So, I had to plan my week around her arrival and I managed to take a day off! We went to Paris for some sightseeing with the children. It was so much fun! I tried not to think about ‘work’ but I’m sooo looking forward to get back to the studio tomorrow!!!
I’m painting for this month’s collection. I plan to release eight small paintings, six medium ones and a large one. Maybe more, depending on the frames I’ll find. I love thrifting and decided to combine my love for vintage and for art, by offering paintings in thrifted frames, for this new collection.
Aren’t they just so exquisite? I’m in love 😍😍😍 I must admit that I'm always in doubt of the colour choices or even of the black trait, until the piece is completely finished. I’m so proud of the final result here!!!
This pear made me suffer so much!!! I’m not sure if I'm entirely satisfied with the end result, but i’m leaving it here. What do you think ? Nonetheless, it made me realise how much I love painting on wood. I think that I’ll do my next collection on wood too! I’m painting the background of the tomato too this week!
This is what I mean when I say that I’m not sure of the choice of colours until the final result. I painted the background of this painting for January’s exhibition. It will take place in Philadelphia, United States, the theme is ‘Open’ and the pieces must not exceed 10x10". I was going for a more red pink colour, but instead listened to Holy Spirit and chose a more orange red. I’m looking forward to see what it will look like with the black trait !!!
Here we are, the last painting of this month’s collection! I’m so grateful for this piece. I feel like it’s so much me! It’s only the acrylic base here, and it’s one of the reasons why I’m so looking forward to get back to the studio. Maybe, it will be the highlight of this series! Stay tuned!
This collection will launch on the 31st of August, except for my newsletter subscribers, who will have first access on the 30th. You can become a subscriber by clicking HERE.
Much Love 💕
