From blank canvas to finished masterpiece - my progress in the art studio, this week.
This week has been thrilling! I experienced some A-HA moments on my life and purpose as an artist. It truly lifted my spirits and I’ve been feeling so free, since. I’m happy to be here today and to show you my work, this week.
I finished this couple’s portrait! Their grey hair was quite challenging to paint. I’m happy how it turned out. Waiting eagerly for their feedback! I’m starting another couple portrait this week. It’s quite different from the first three I’ve painted. I’m looking forward to the challenge!
So, in the morning, I paint couples and in the afternoon, I work on my flower series. I’ve found the right balance between commissioned work and free expression and it feels so good. I’ve started the oil (and fun) paint on the Playful Poppies piece. I did the flowers, the red and black. I hope to finish this painting next Friday! With the children on holidays for the next two weeks, I will have to plan my time carefully.
I also made great progress on the mural. I drew with Posca markers on the wall and I’ve been painting progressively. It’s quite tiring and very fulfilling to paint big. I can already feel the good vibes from this mural. It’s in our bedroom and hope to do the same on hospitals’ walls or anywhere where joy is needed!
I hope you had an amazing week. See you next Sunday! Till then, have fun 🥳
Much Love 💕
