From blank canvas to finished masterpiece - my progress in the art studio, this week.
This week has been very festive and mostly painting Christmas ornaments! The renovation of our house has begun, yay! It feels so good to feel warm in the home as the temperature seriously decreases. We also went to assist my little sister in her wedding dress choice . This was so fun!
This week, I mostly worked on Christmas ornaments. With the workers at home installing the heat pump boiler, I had some difficulty to connect and let it flow. I didn’t start any new painting, even if I had a ton of new ideas. Instead, I painted new Christmas ornaments in acrylics. I did them last year and they were a great hit, so I did some more, for my ‘tea and art’ markets.
While I was painting the Christmas ornaments, I got the idea of making an actual oil painting on the Christmas ornaments. They are all wooden and I love painting on wood. So, I started a mini flower series which will launch on Thursday the 30th. I finished the tulip and the poppy and this week, I’m painting the three other ones. I first painted them in acrylics before painting them in oil.
I worked on Papa’s Girl too this week. I’ve painted the stem and the pot in oil. I’ve got only the background left and my typical black outline and I’ll be done! So looking forward to show you the final result next Sunday. I’m also helping my sister in her wedding’s preparation. It’s all going to be so much fun!!!
That’s all folks! I hope you had an amazing week! Thank you so much for following along my journey. So grateful for you 🥰 See you next Sunday! Till then, have fun 🥳
Much Love 💕
