From blank canvas to finished masterpiece - how my next art series is coming to life.
This week, there have been big ups and big downs. Having the children at home during two straight months is quite tiring. However, I ended the week with some good news : I sold one original painting and a print of the biggest painting for my next art fair. I started a new portraits’ project too!
I’m painting for this month’s collection. I plan to release eight small paintings, six medium ones and a large one. Maybe more, depending on the frames I’ll find. I love thrifting and decided to combine my love for vintage and for art, by offering paintings in thrifted frames, for this new collection.
These are done and varnished, yay!!! Even if the pear was quite challenging, I love the end result. It has such an Italian renaissance vibe. The tomato is very cartoonish, because of the black trait, which is thicker on this one. It makes it so cheerful!
There’s only these tulips left to paint and the collection will be able to launch on Wednesday the 30th of August, for my newsletter subscribers! I’ve only got the black trait to add and it will be ready. I’m so proud of this piece. The colour combination, the lines, make me smile so much!
Another finished piece, yay!!! This one is for an exhibition in January. It will take place in Philadelphia, United States, the theme is ‘Open’ and the pieces must not exceed 10x10". I had some doubts about the background colour but I’m quite happy how it turned out. Now, to frame it!
And here is the first of my portraits’ project! Now, that I’m nearly done with this month’s collections, I’m reopening places for portrait commissions. So happy and excited! It’s such a thoughtful gift and I feel so honoured, every time to paint a loved one.
This month’s collection will launch on the 31st of August, except for my newsletter subscribers, who will have first access on the 30th. You can become a subscriber by clicking HERE.
Much Love 💕
