From blank canvas to finished masterpiece - my progress in the art studio, this week.
It’s the festive season, yay!! My favourite time of the year. I love advent and its happy journey towards Christmas. This week, I’ve been busy painting and promoting my Christmas ornaments, but I have a little surprise for you!
TADAAAA!!! Here they are, this year’s Christmas ornaments!! So proud of them. They are so lovely and bright and cheerful. They are called Thankful Tulip, Peaceful Poppy, Sublime Sunflower, Daring Dahlia and Authentic Aster. It was a last-minute project. The idea came to me while I was making custom Christmas ornaments for a collector. So happy how they turned out! They are all oil on wood with an acrylic base (see last week’s post)
Here’s my big surprise : my first (ever!) ceramics piece. I made green mushrooms, haha. I have mixed feelings towards ceramics right now, but I’m willing to give it a try and see where it leads me. So, what do you think of this first piece ?
So looking forward to next week, taking it slow and hopefully finishing my big oil painting, Papa’s Girl. I’ll be working on a new couple portrait too, yay!
That’s all folks! I hope you had an amazing week! Thank you so much for following along my journey. So grateful for you 🥰 See you next Sunday! Till then, have fun 🥳
Much Love 💕
